I've been building businesses since 2011.

Web Octopus is me. You deal with the person who writes the code, and I'll tell you when something is a bad idea.

The first business was in music — a PR and distribution company delivering releases to the digital platforms for labels and artists, and chasing blog and radio support. It taught me how digital distribution actually works, and how much of any industry is unglamorous plumbing that somebody has to maintain.

The second took me to Cyprus, where I took over an advertising magazine selling space to local businesses and moved the whole offering online. I learned what small businesses will and won't pay for, and how much resistance there is to changing something that currently works.

Web Octopus started in 2019, and it's where all of that went. I build websites and software for B2B companies, and I've spent the last few years on the technical side of it — search, integrations, custom platforms, and more recently helping businesses work out what AI actually changes about how they operate.

I also built and run Mirola, a CRM platform used by paying clients. It's the reason I can say I build production software rather than just websites.

I work with a small number of clients at a time. No account manager, no handover to a junior, no layer between you and the work.
